Saara is responsible for legal services in the areas of competition law and sustainability. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the field. Saara has worked at a competition authority, in a law firm, and as a competition lawyer and General Counsel at a Finnish industrial company, where she was also responsible for the company’s quality & compliance functions as well as social responsibility.

In competition law, Saara’s expertise covers merger control processes, antitrust matters—including state aid and competition neutrality issues—as well as public procurement. Saara also provides clients with comprehensive support in sustainability-related assignments. Her expertise includes training personnel, preparing for requirements such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EUDR, and CSDDD, building Due Diligence processes, and assessing gaps between sustainability regulation and existing processes.

Saara is based in PwC’s Helsinki office.
