What is Foundation for the Future?
Foundation for the Future is a team within Consulting consisting of all our Trainees and Associates. The team offers a safe environment to explore different competence areas and industries, gain broad exposure to consulting work and build strong core consulting skills regardless of background. The main idea of the team is to provide our young professions an opportunity to work on both project and sales assignments across competence teams and industries before deciding on a future career direction when being promoted to Senior Associate (typically within 1–3 years).
From a business value perspective, Foundation for the Future creates a shared talent pool across competence teams, enabling better resource utilization, flexibility to balance demand across projects and a strong base of skilled future Senior Associates for our competence teams.

Our Consulting team consists of 100+ dedicated professionals based in Helsinki, organized into seven competence teams working closely together.
What does it mean in practice to work as a Consulting Trainee/Associate?
As a Consulting Trainee / Associate, you will typically get to:
- Work on different client projects
- Participate in and contribute to client meetings
- Solve client problems and contribute by bringing your own solutions and ideas
- Prepare client materials (final reports, workshop materials, status reports, etc.)
- Participate in sales cases (for example by preparing proposal materials)
- Conduct data, process and business analysis
- Support project or program management
- In addition, Associates typically take ownership of a specific business development topic within Consulting

We offer both Trainee and Associate positions in the Foundation for the Future team. After the Trainee period (4–6 months) based on performance and the business situation within Consulting, there is a possibility of receiving an offer to continue directly in a permanent Associate role.
